Mark Lewis has spent his career solving complex real-world problems — not from a boardroom, a consulting framework, or theory, but from environments where systems, processes, technology, and people all need to work together to achieve a practical outcome.
His background spans engineering, live events and technical operations, leadership, software development, and community leadership. The common thread in every role: taking a messy, real-world problem and shipping the fix.
Founder philosophy
Most business problems are not people problems. They are system problems. Good people often work incredibly hard inside processes, tools, and workflows that create friction — until that friction is accepted as "just the way things are."
Mark believes most businesses can do far more than they currently do — they're just stuck in familiar ways of operating. Neutrino finds those hidden constraints and builds the fix.
Sometimes that solution is AI. Sometimes it's automation. Sometimes it's a better process. Sometimes it's a prototype. The technology is secondary — the outcome is what matters.
Why Neutrino exists
From “We should do something about that.” to “We've solved it.”
Good ideas sit inside businesses for years — not because they're bad ideas, but because owners are busy running the business. Neutrino exists to build them.
Professional background
Three worlds, one thread.
~5 years
Engineering foundation
Mechatronics Engineer at a startup developing hot water systems — product development, testing, design, and systems analysis in a fast-moving environment.
- Structured problem solving and continuous improvement
- Product development and technical troubleshooting
- Systems analysis in a startup setting
~7 years
Operations & service leadership
Led technical operations in Australia's professional entertainment lighting industry — growing a service team from two to seven while handling roughly 200 repairs and service jobs per week.
- Workflow optimisation and process improvement
- Team leadership and operational efficiency
- The person called when difficult problems needed solving
Ongoing
Software & digital systems
Formal web development training plus extensive practical implementation — bridging physical systems, operational systems, software, automation, and AI opportunities.
- Full-stack web development
- Automation and integration work
- Foundation of Neutrino's build capability today
Outside business, Mark has spent many years in volunteer leadership through Scouting — earning trust without hierarchy, authority, or financial incentives. That experience reinforced integrity, service, accountability, mentorship, and leading by example — values central to how Neutrino operates.
What makes Mark different
Strategy, technology, and engineering — rarely in one person.
Mark doesn’t arrive with a solution already picked. He starts with how the business actually runs and finds the fixes that pay off most.
- Engineering thinking — structured problem solving from product and physical systems
- Operational leadership — high-throughput live-events service and team management at scale
- Software capability — builds that connect to how the business actually runs
- Systems design — seeing friction across tools, people, and processes
- Practical implementation — ideas only matter when they ship
Working with Mark
Every engagement begins with understanding.
The goal is not to sell a specific technology or service. Solutions are designed around the business — not the other way around.
- How the business currently operates
- Where friction exists and what it costs
- What opportunities are being missed
- What practical improvements could create meaningful impact
Core beliefs
Core beliefs
- Ideas have value only when implemented
- Technology should solve real problems
- Most businesses have untapped potential
- Systems create outcomes
- Good people deserve better tools
- Practical execution beats endless planning
- Complexity should be simplified, not amplified
Neutrino's long-term vision extends beyond consulting, software, or prototyping — to help more good ideas become reality, whether from business owners, inventors, community leaders, creators, or engineers. The world rarely suffers from a lack of ideas. It suffers from a lack of execution.
